Six U.S. Airlines Approved for Flights to Cuba

As USA Today reports, six U.S. airlines been approved by the Department of Transportation to begin flights to Cuba, which will begin as early as this fall.

Six U.S. Airlines will Offer Flights to Cuba

The approved airlines are American, Frontier, JetBlue, Silver Airways, Southwest and Sun Country. However, it has not yet been announced which airlines will fly to the Cuban capital of Havana. The DOT’s announcement only pertains to other cities.

American has announced it expects to begin scheduled service as early as September between Miami and Camaguey, Cienfuegos, Holguin, Santa Clara and Varadero.
