Amazing. One airline lowers bag fees. Delta drops its booking-by-phone and booking-at-airline-ticket-counter fees. Now Delta does it again – dropping the fee for some of its onboard entertainment options.

Delta: Free Entertainment as of July 1
Beginning July 1 Delta announced it will offer its “industry-leading suite” of onboard entertainment for free to all customers on two-class aircraft which Delta says includes nearly 90% of its fleet. What do you get?
- TV shows
- Foreign films
- Live satellite TV (on select aircraft)
- Games (on planes with seat-back entertainment systems)
What does it mean? Probably less boredom particularly on long haul flights. Whatever, it’s a nice move, Delta, and will probably affect a lot more passengers than losing the $25 phone fee. But that’s nice, too.
