The first performance numbers of 2013 have just been released by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, so let's see who's starting out the year right – and wrong.

Overall Mishandled Baggage Rate
There were 3.41 reports of missing luggage per 1,000 passengers in January, which was better than the previous month's rate but not quite as good as it was for January 2012.
