The 17th century Red Fort is a massive establishment filled with domes and turrets and the Jantar Mantar has massive sundials and different astronomical instruments that the people of Delhi still use today to predict the weather. You can also try your hand at haggling at the widely popular Chandni Chowk market, or visit the India Gate, which is a national monument to honor the fallen soldiers of World War 1 and the Third Afghan War.
After you’ve had your fill of historic landmarks, be sure to take in Lodhi Gardens for a retreat from the busy streets and the Swaminarayan Akshardham, which is a recently built, massive temple complex. For some excellent street food and shopping, check out Chandni Chowk, the main street of old Delhi.
