You can’t wait to get married – and in Nevada – you don’t have to! Explore the wedding and honeymoon options available to you – from a romantic ceremony in a gilded ballroom – to a zany wedding on the Strip.

Let FareCompare help you find the cheapest flights to Las Vegas and the rest of Nevada – so quick, so easy:

If you’ve only been to Las Vegas – you’re missing out on a great big beautiful state: see the Wild West come to life in Carson City – try amazing skiing and golf in Tahoe – or explore the mysteries of Area 51. Then hit Vegas again – because there’s always something new and fun there!

Las Vegas

They call it “Sin City” – but a better name might be “Dazzle Town”: the shimmery neon, the jingle of the slot machines and the clink of the champagne flutes says it all. The most famous indoor sport is gambling; join the fun everywhere from the airport to the strip. But don’t spend all your time in the gleaming palaces there – the lights are even more amazing at the Fremont Street Experience in downtown (and check out Vegas’ very first hotel – the Golden Gate, built in 1906 – still open for business).

Suppose you’re not into gambling? No problem! Vegas hotels boast huge pools and beautiful golf courses, plus sensational shopping: try the outlet malls surrounding the city, or the exclusive (and expensive!) boutiques at the casinos. Need more? How about an array of unique spa treatments – before heading out to a show, featuring Broadway hits, amazing magicians, or top acts like Elton John, U2 and Madonna.

Cowboy Country

Reno is another glittering gambler’s paradise – but travel a little further to Carson City and you’ll step back in time – after all, how many state capitals are named for a Wild West frontiersman (Kit Carson, of course). Enjoy rugged hiking with striking vistas – and then go even further back in time, to visit Virginia City – the one-time silver-mining center. You’ll feel like a part of the Old West as you sidle into the Bucket of Blood Saloon and order a whiskey, or stay at the Gold Hill Hotel – Nevada’s oldest. Don’t forget to try your luck panning for gold – or tour an old mine.

If it’s outdoor adventure you want, head to Tahoe – for skiing, boating, golfing, fishing and more – this resort area has it all, along with a 70 mile long pristine coastline.

The Sci-Fi Trail

Ever hear of Rachel, Nevada? Probably not – but millions of sci-fi fans have, since this little town (population 80) is a popular stopping point on Highway 375 – known as the Extraterrestrial Highway – which is close to Area 51. This “mysterious” sector – which includes a secretive military base – has long occupied conspiracy theorists and UFO aficionados. Stop off in Rachel’s restaurant/tavern for the house specialty – the Alien Burger.

Nevada Weddings

What’s your pleasure – a quickie wedding for just the two of you – or an elaborate ceremony for 200? Do it any way you like in Nevada. And there’s no waiting, and no blood tests: all you have to do to “make it legal” is provide ID to prove you’re over 18, get a marriage license – and you’re good to go.

Las Vegas in particular specializes in unique ceremonies: it may be the only place in the world where you can get married by an Elvis impersonator – or have “Frank Sinatra” appear as a guest, and sing! There are almost as many “theme” wedding chapels as there are lights on the Strip – with personalized ceremonies that can include as many or as few amenities as you wish.
