Alaska Airports: What You Need to Know

Information on three of the largest airports in the state:

Ted Stevens Anchorage International (ANC): The busiest airport in Alaska is located just a few miles from downtown Anchorage and is served by several U.S. airlines, a handful of international carriers plus discount airlines including Frontier and JetBlue.

Fairbanks International Airport (FAI): This airport, just a few miles from the downtown area, is served by Alaska, Delta, Frontier and regional carriers.

Juneau International Airport (JNU): Though located just outside the state capital, the Juneau airport is a regional hub served by Alaska Airlines as well as charter and tourism aviation companies.

Each of the airports also boast numerous transportation options, including shuttle buses, taxis, rental car agencies and more. At the Anchorage airport, the city’s People Mover shuttle runs on the half hour from early until late in the evening, transporting passengers to/from downtown and the Dimond Center.
