Cities Near Mountains

Boston: This perennially cheap destination is conveniently near New England ski resorts and summer fun at Cape Cod. And of course, Boston itself is a town steeped in history (as well as excellent restaurants). Learn more here.

Denver: Another great value thanks to loads of airline competition. World-class skiing beckons along with outdoor adventure for every season. The Mile High City is no slouch when it comes to the nightlife scene, either. Learn more here.

The South

Charleston, S.C.: JetBlue has been offering some great deals to this charming coastal city in recent months. Stroll the Battery, enjoy the architecture and don’t forget to try the seafood. Learn more here.

Savannah, Ga.: One of the most beautiful cities in the South has lost some air service (as is happening with many smaller cities) but still features flights on JetBlue. Walk the historic squares, catch a music festival or dine in style. Learn more here.

National Parks

Channel Islands: You have to hop a boat to get to these islands but once you do, you’ll revel in the gorgeous views, all those sea lions and maybe even spy a whale or two. Plus it’s just 70 miles north of Hollywood. Learn more here.

Yosemite: If you’re up for a fly-and-drive, head to San Francisco, Oakland or Sacramento and visit one of the nation’s most iconic parks. Learn more here.

Pacific Northwest

Portland, Ore.: There’s a reason Portland is called the City of Roses but you’ll see for yourself. Visitors says the eclectic city is like nothing else and we’ve been seeing great airfare deals to Portland for the past several months. Learn more here.

Seattle: Best ticket prices I’ve seen in year which is a great excuse to visit this indoor-outdoor wonderland with excellent hiking opportunities and some of the best coffee houses anywhere. Learn more here.

Ireland: I’ve heard it said that a single glimpse is all it takes to fall in love with Ireland but if you need more, just check out the airfare deals to Dublin – usually far and away the cheapest in Europe. Learn more here.

Scandinavia: We’ve been seeing good fares to Denmark, Norway and Sweden and I’d go so far as to say they’re the best in years. Not as cheap as Ireland, but if you’ve ever had a yen to visit Copenhagen, Oslo and more, now is the time. Learn more here.
