Not long ago, we told you how to follow an airline on Twitter and why you should be in contact with them on this useful social media tool. Now, thanks to USA Today, we can tell you which airlines are most responsive.
Airlines with Best, Fastest Responses
The newspaper cites a study by Engagement Labs, which calls American Airlines the top performer on social media, for both Facebook and Twitter. What’s interesting is, Twitter seems to count more – at least as far as airlines are concerned, and we base this on the fact that some Twitter stars don’t even appear in the top 10 Facebook list (including United and Virgin America).

What’s it take to be a top performer? The data looked at what Engagement Labs calls Engagement, Impact and Responsiveness metrics. “A recent example could be American’s decision to change its onboard music in the wake of tweeting travelers’ complaints (apparently the old sounds were boring).
