There are a ton of deals out there right now making this a particularly good time to fly. The cheapest destinations depend on where you’re traveling from, but this week’s sales feature cheap flights from a wide variety of departure cities to popular destinations in the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean.

Note: Airlines change prices all the time adjusting to factors like rising/lowering demand and the price of oil, so what’s cheap one week can change the next. See the tips after the chart to find the cheapest flights any time of year.

These are some of the better-priced routes we’ve seen recently. Not your departure city? These flights may be cheap from your town, too.  Click on the city/destination to find your fare.

    Best Deals – Shopping Tips

    • Don’t wait until the last minute: Most airfare prices rise sharply if you purchase tickets after the 14-day-before-departure mark. Exception: discount carriers give you a little more leeway, with advance purchase requirements usually varying between 7 and 10 days before departure.
    • Look for Tuesday deals: Longtime fans of FareCompare know that the best day to shop for airfare is generally Tuesday afternoon about 3 p.m. eastern. That’s when airfare sales have been launched and rival carriers have adjusted prices to match the deals, simply to stay competitive.
    • Be flexible on dates: Most of the cheapest domestic flights are good on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only (and sometimes Saturdays); the cheapest international flights are generally for travel Sunday through Thursday.
    • Set alerts: A good way to keep track of the cheapest deals from your city is by signing up for airfare alerts and try the app for your iPhone.
