Virgin America's New Hit-on Drink Service for In-Flight Flirting

Have you ever noticed a hunky/gorgeous passenger on a flight and thought to yourself, “Gee, if only I could buy him/her a drink and have it delivered anonymously”? If the answer is no, you’re probably not Virgin America material. If yes, pay strict attention (and don’t miss the video below).

Virgin America – so hip, so funny

Virgin’s Seat-to-Seat Drink Delivery

The airline, sometimes called a party-on-a-plane, has just introduced seat-to-seat service that could be seen as the perfect vehicle for in-flight flirting, or a handy hit-on delivery service or an excellent public relations move. It allows a passenger to use his seatback screen to order a cocktail for a fellow traveler, which is then delivered by a member of the cabin crew. How to reveal yourself to this special someone? You have two choices:

A.) Stand up and proclaim your love/lust in front of a planeload of people

B.) Use the seatback screen to send a private message to that special someone

Best airports for romance (well, supposedly)

An Expert Shows How it’s Done

Need further guidance? Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Empire made a short video called “Guide to Getting Lucky” that explains all (see below). Here are the highlights in two easy steps:

  1. Pinpoint the object of your affection.
  2. Approach object with a check for object’s favorite charity – carried in the mouth of a puppy – that you’ve given the power of speech to.

Simple, right? Take a look:
