Virgin America announced this week that its miles program – called Elevate – is now linked to Virgin Atlantic Airways and Virgin Australia.
Virgin America Awards Flights Go Global
This means miles earned on any one of these Virgin brands can be used on flights to any destinations these airlines travel to. London-based Virgin Atlantic flies to 34 destinations including three cities in Europe, nine cities in the U.S. plus Vancouver and numerous locations in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and the Middle East.
Brisbane-based Virgin Australia flies throughout the continent plus nearby Pacific destinations and much of the rest of the world including the U.S. cities for a total of 29 cities.
Sir Richard Branson: ‘All the Way!’
Virgin America’s press release offers up a typically semi-racy comment from billionaire Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, who said, “I am thrilled that we can now reward our loyal guests with the ability to fly around the world on Virgin. Yes indeed, Virgin goes all the way!”
How to Book Flights with Elevate Miles
Members of Virgin America’s Elevate program can book miles-flights on Virgin Atlantic immediately and with Virgin Australia as of Mar. 22. Bookings must be made through the airline’s call center at 1-877-FLYVIRGIN.
