Worth a look if you’ll be traveling this summer.
Unusual Airport News
All U.S. Airports: The folks at Customs and Border Protection want to remind you that some souvenirs are not allowed into the United States. Prohibited items include:
- Bush meat
- Dangerous toys
- Endangered wildlife, dead or alive
Plus there’s a long list of items that require licenses or documentation and you can see more at CBP.gov.
All U.S. Airports: Just a reminder not to bring prohibited items through TSA security checkpoints such as weapons. One fellow recently tried to do that at Baltimore’s airport but was stopped for carrying a hatchet, smoke grenades, fireworks, knives, a saw and the list goes on.
DFW: If you’ll be returning from abroad through the Dallas-Ft. Worth airport – and are only traveling with a carry-on! – good news for you. The airport has “Carry E-Z” lines that allow you a streamlined entry without the long lines. Sort of what the Global Entry program offers without the $100-for-five-years price tag but remember – you must pack light.
