We won’t keep you in suspense: Istanbul is the number one destination in the world, according to TripAdvisor’s annual Travelers’ Choice list where rankings are determined by the quantity and quality of reviews for attractions, hotels and restaurants.
All Cities – Winners and Losers
The Turkish city can boast one of the biggest popularity increases over 2013’s listing, moving up elevens places. Second-place finisher Rome gained slightly while number three city London stayed precisely where it had been. No U.S. cities made the top 10 but New York City ranked number 12. No surprise to find the Big Apple at the top of the heap, same as last year. Number two Chicago and number three San Francisco traded places with each other from last year’s list.
