Southwest Announces Routes from Washington, D.C. and West Coast

Southwest Airlines has just announced a bunch of new routes to and from the nation’s capital (via Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport) and if you book by March 27, you can get a pretty good deal.

Starting Aug. 10

New, daily non-stops between Washington, D.C., and the following cities:

  • Chicago (Midway Airport), from $119 one-way
  • Nashville, from $129 one-way
  • New Orleans, from $129 one-way

Starting Sept. 30

More new, daily non-stops between Washington, D.C., and the following cities:

  • Tampa, from $84
  • Additional flights to/from Chicago begin

Starting Nov. 2

More new, daily non-stops between Washington, D.C., and the following cities:

  • Akron-Canton
  • Dallas (Love Field)
  • Houston (Hobby) – these are additional flights
  • Indianapolis
  • St. Louis – additional flights

Prices for the above flights will be published beginning in mid-May.

More New Routes

These include new non-stop routes and service that is being enhanced.

  • Between Los Angeles and Boise, begins June 14 – no price listed
  • Between Los Angeles and Omaha, begins June 9 – from $159 one-way
  • Between Los Angeles and St. Louis, begins June 8 – no price listed
  • Between San Francisco and St. Louis, begins Sept. 30 – from $119 one-way

Note: Most of the deals are good for travel from August or September through October, and all of the specials fares are limited to flights any day except Friday or Sunday.
