Southwest Airlines Orders 150 737 MAX Planes from Boeing

Southwest Airlines has placed an order for 150 planes from Boeing, the updated 737, called the “737 MAX.”

Delivery dates begin in 2017 and will finish up in 2022. The MAX aircrafts feature engines that save on fuel costs and cut CO2 emissions by 10 percent to 11 percent, and will add 7 percent more seats.

The company has also order 200 737NG aircrafts, bringing their total of planes to be delivered between 2012 and 2022 to 350.
