Lufthansa is in the midst of a three-day pilot strike which has resulted in thousands of flight cancelations. It affects some of those with tickets on the Germany-based international airline but also some of its codeshare partner airlines.
What to Do
First of all, don’t panic. By all news accounts, airports in Germany are calm and Lufthansa had enough notice to proactively reach out to travelers. Airline executives continue to work with passengers to try and get them where they need to go as quickly as possible. Here’s where to find help.
- Lufthansa: If your tickets are on this airline, find contact information here.
Lufthansa is a codeshare partner with 26 airlines in the global Star Alliance, including these:
- United: If you booked a United codeshare flight with the U.S. airline to/from or through an airport in Germany, find more information here.
- Air Canada: Find more information on canceled flights and how to get help here.
- Star Alliance: If you’re not sure if your carrier is affected, see all Star Alliance members here.
As always, whenever there is a problem with a cancelation or delay, contact your airline immediately.
