Attention, Texas: Popular low-cost carrier JetBlue will begin offering non-stop flights between Boston and Dallas beginning May 1 when it makes the Lone Star State city its 71st destination.
JetBlue Dallas-Boston Non-Stops on Sale Dec. 13
As one analyst pointed out, this will be yet another “important destination from Boston” to be served by a discount airline. Although Southwest flies in and out of Dallas, it uses Love Field (DAL) as opposed to Dallas-Ft. Worth International (DFW) and does not offer non-stops between Dallas and Boston.
JetBlue’s plans call for three daily non-stops between Boston Logan (BOS) and DFW, and the popular carrier already serves Austin and Houston-Hobby. Passengers can begin booking JetBlue’s Dallas/Boston route beginning Dec. 13.
JetBlue Flies Most Passengers from Boston
As the Dallas Morning News points out, JetBlue now flies more passengers out of Logan than any other, and they also note that while American Airlines also offers non-stop service between the two cities, it has been “de-emphasizing Boston in recent years,” a trend that may accelerate now that AA has filed for bankruptcy.
JetBlue offers free entertainment on individual seatback screens, plus one checked-bag for free.
