Hawaiian Airlines Launches New West Coast Routes to Maui

New Bay Area Non-stops to Maui

Here’s some good news, particularly for those in Northern California: Hawaiian Airlines has just announced it will begin two new non-stop routes to Maui from the northern California cities of Oakland (starting Jan. 11, 2012) and San Jose (starting Jan. 10.) Here’s how it shakes out:

  • Oakland to Maui: Four new weekly non-stop flights, year round
  • San Jose to Maui: Three new weekly non-stop flights, year round

Other airlines serving Maui’s Kahului Airport (OGG) include Air Canada, Alaska, American, Continental, Delta, Go, United, US Airways and more.

Hawaiian’s Maui Airfare Sale

To help publicize the new route launch, Hawaiian Airlines has also announced a splashy new airfare sale to Maui, now underway. Travel from Oakland or San Jose to Maui or to Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii for an advertised price of $299+ round-trip (however, once you add in all taxes and fees, the total figure is about $320).  We see similar deals between Maui and San Francisco during this sale as well, plus Hawaiian has long offered non-stop service from these three Bay Area cities to Honolulu.

See the Honolulu Travel Guide for great attractions, dining and more

Sale airfares must be booked by Sept. 14, for travel from Jan. 11 through Mar. 14. Seats are limited so anyone interested in these sale fares should act quickly. Also, check with FareCompare for a bigger selection of flights to Hawaii, as airline competitors generally match any and all sale prices.
