The 22nd Dubai Airshow runs from Nov. 13-17, and is forecast to be a record breaker: the show will feature more than 1,000 exhibitions including plenty of buyers and sellers of planes. Among the most anticipated aircraft:
What to See at the Airshow
- Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner: This is its first appearance in the Middle East, though it has begun flights for ANA in Japan
- Bell/Boeing’s V-22 Tilt Rotor: Called “a unique aircraft that can perform both vertical take-off and landing and short take-off and landing”
- China’s MA-600: A 60-seat regional turboprop making its first appearance outside China
Also, Airbus will display its newest and most eco-efficient aircraft along with a 3D movie called “Future of Flight.” And speaking of entertainment, Welsh pop singer Tom Jones will headline the big airshow “gala dinner” (tickets are $415 per person).
