There’s been a lot of talk about American Airlines’ upcoming employee cuts , as well as news dribbling out about various routes and/or flights being dropped – and we’re keeping score of AA route changes here – but there’s been less attention on some of the more positive things the troubled carrier is engaged in.

A Great American Airline in Mid-Bankruptcy – See the Latest

    New AA Flights to London

For example, American is adding of a fourth daily flight (six days a week) from Dallas-Ft. Worth to London Heathrow, beginning June 14.

The new service will be aboard a Boeing 767-300 aircraft which can hold 219 passengers and that includes 28 seats in Business Class.

    New American Airfare Sales

Meanwhile, American is also promoting sales – in other words, conducting business as usual. Its latest airfare sale features special prices to and from Miami, and it is also winding up a sale on all U.S. cities.

In other words, while there’s a difficult year ahead of the carrier, it’s not ready to roll over and play dead just yet – if ever.
