Delta Air Lines’ Business Fare Hike Attempt Fails
UPDATE: Feb. 15, 2013 – Delta got no takers, and since no other airlines joined in on the hike attempt, the airline rolled back the increase. This latest hike attempt has failed.
Feb. 13, 2013 7:08 p.m. EST
Earlier this afternoon, Delta Air Lines raised domestic ticket prices between $4 and $10 round-trip on airfares purchased inside of 7 days of departure (these are fares typically purchased by business travelers). This third hike attempt of the year excludes sale and weekender tickets.
Watch for updates here, as Delta’s competitors decide to match this increase or not. As we have seen, the other airfare hike attempts of 2013 ended in failure.
