Travelers who like their food seasoned with a sprinkle of celebrity will be in luck this year, at least if they happen to be passing through Pittsburgh International (PIT) or Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL).
Atlanta Airport to Offer Rapper’s Comfort Food
Rapper Ludacris (also known as Chris Bridges) will open a new restaurant in the huge Atlanta airport sometime “in the coming months” called Chicken N Beer, after his 2003 album of that name. It will feature craft beers and comfort food using locally grown ingredients.
Other new Hartsfield-Jackson eateries will include satellite versions of venerable Atlanta favorites including The Varsity, Shane’s Rib Shack, Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint and The Pecan.
Look for Ludacris’ Chicken N Beer this spring in Terminal D.
Iron Chef Opens Eatery at Pittsburgh Airport
TV’s Iron Chef Michael Symon will offer up comfort food at his new Pittsburgh airport restaurant which will be called Bar Symon Kitchen and Tap House.
Symon, co-host of ABC’s “The Chew,” says the menu will include the Lola Burger which is topped with a fried egg and pickled onions, as well as several flavors of baked mac and cheese.
Look for this new restaurant to open this spring in the airport’s main terminal just past security. Meanwhile, dieters beware.
