  • Dublin – The emerald of Ireland, this walkable, friendly city is fun for everyone. One of the cheaper destinations of Europe.
  • Paris – Those sidewalk cafes aren’t just for couples, nor is a stroll along the Left Bank.
  • QueenstownHuffington Post calls this New Zealand city a mecca for adventurous travelers.
  • Seattle – Another great outdoors town but don’t miss the excellent coffeehouses. One of the cheaper destinations for U.S. flyers.

  • Bali – Here we are again (see above), but couples will love it here too (boy, will they love it).
  • Caribbean – Some of the cheaper (and loveliest) islands include Nassau and Puerto Rico but some say St. Lucia beats them all.
  • Edinburgh – Scottish castles, music festivals, whisky – romantically, works for us.
  • Venice – Italy has been enchanting visitors and sparking romance for hundreds of years now and shows no signs of slowing down. If visiting from the U.S., consider flying to Rome and taking a train to Venezia.

Family Groups

  • Boston – Living history lesson amidst timeless buildings and charming streets. Try the clam chowder and lobster, too.
  • London – This city’s charms are well-documented but if you need a name to drop, try “Harry Potter”.
  • Los Angeles – Yes, Disneyland is just down the road (35 miles from LAX) but there’s so much more including Hollywood, the Getty Center and the beach.
  • National Parks – If you haven’t been to Yellowstone, Yosemite or Zion, you are missing out.
  • OrlandoTheme parks aplenty. And some nice shopping and dining opportunities for everyone.
  • Ft. Lauderdale – Bask on a beach. Then check out the nightlife in Miami.

Since there are roughly ten zillion other destinations we could have mentioned, you tell us – what did we miss?
