Alaska Airlines Adds New Routes to Philadelphia, San Antonio, Washington, D.C.

Alaska Airlines, long familiar to flyers on the West Coast, is expanding its reach eastward. Today, the Seattle-based carrier begins new daily non-stop flights between Seattle and Philadelphia.

New Flights to Philly, San Antonio and DC

Earlier, Alaska began a new route between Portland and Washington, D.C.’s Reagan airport and in September, the airline kicks off service between Seattle and San Antonio. The carrier is not currently offering airfare specials on the new Seattle/Philly route – now priced at $240 each-way for flights in July and August – but the other routes are featured in Alaska’s latest sale, as follows:

  • Portland – Washington DC, from $159 one-way. Book by June 13, fly Aug. 28 – Nov. 7
  • Seattle – San Antonio, from $139 one-way. Book by June 13, service begins Sept. 17

Flights to Hawaii and Mexico

The addition of Philadelphia to Alaska’s line-up brings its eastern, Midwestern and southeast cities to 16. Besides its extensive West Coast route system, the airline also flies to Alaska, Hawaii and several Mexico destinations.
