Airfare War Update: Dallas Just Got Hotter Thanks to New Southwest Flights

Ever since last fall, when the restrictive Wright Amendment was lifted, Dallas has been the target of an airfare war. As Southwest and American (and many other carriers) continue to duke it out, passengers who live in or want to go to this Texas city are reaping the benefits.

Dallas – Cheapest Flight Destination?

The Washington Post has called Dallas the “most affordable destination for 2015” and this has been borne out in the sales and specials seen day-after-day in our Deals Blog. No question: Dallas is cheap.

New Southwest Routes – To/From Dallas

The latest shot in the airfare war was just fired by Southwest which has just announced a new airfare sale featuring 8 new daily non-stops to/from Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL) and the following cities:

Flights begin Aug. 9, and are on sale through March 1. Prices range from $69 to $99 one-way.
