A passenger jet from New York’s JFK to Moscow was diverted to Iceland early this morning after U.S. police received a call about a bomb onboard the flight.
The Aeroflot flight landed at Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport around 2:30 a.m. EDT, according to the BBC. All 253 passengers and crew members were evacuated from the plane and were processed through local security checkpoints before being transported to local hotels.
This incident will be added to the already-lengthy list of travel threats of 2012.
