The Dusseldorf International Airport Indoor Ski Jump

I’m always looking for new perks at the airport: a decent coffee shop, a sports bar with more TVs, a waiting area with at least semi-comfortable seats. However, Dusseldorf International Airport wants to give travelers a little more, so they are taking perks to a whole new level with their indoor ski jump:
“The check-in hall at Dusseldorf International Airport (DUS) will house the world’s first airport indoor ski jump as part of the 7th annual TravelSuperMart from February 6-7, 2010 — one week before the start of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Former British Olympic ski jumper Eddie “the Eagle” Edwards is scheduled to open the event.” (from DUS International Airport Press Release)
