Cheap Flights: Last Minute Deals, Summer Deals

Today’s FareCompare Deals Roundup has it all: last minute deals for this weekend as well as a bunch of sales good for you summer vacation travel planners. Since we all know the cost of airfare is going up, now is the time to grab some cheap flights.

These deals include flights to Europe and, as always, the most popular U.S. cities including Florida destinations, Las Vegas, and New York! For tips on what to do in the Big Apple, be sure to check out my captivating interview with a “New York Expert” below (well, I was captivated).

• Last Minute Deals: AirTran, JetBlue, Southwest

You must book flights for these sales by tonight – Thursday, April 21!

AirTran: Great sale to many popular destinations starting at $43+ each-way (not including taxes and fees). Travel through Nov. 2 but there are many blackout dates. AirTran’s website has the details.

JetBlue: Prices start at $49+ each-way; includes Caribbean destinations. Travel through June 22 and see JetBlue’s website for more.

Southwest: A few fares are as low as $29+ each-way, with travel through June 7; see the Southwest site for the fine print.

• American Airlines Europe Sale for Spring

Book by May 4, travel through June 15. This sale is especially good since you can fly to Europe from a wide variety of cities like New York, Charlotte, Orlando, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and more – to destinations like Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester, Zurich, London and more. • Last Minute Weekend Deals from US Airways

Perfect if you want to get away THIS weekend, or if you want to go to Europe SOON. For domestic cities, book by Sat., April 23 and fly out this Sat. and return Sun., Mon. or Tues. For travel to Paris or Manchester in the UK, book by Mon., April 25 and travel through May 22. The US Airways website has the details.

• Virgin America Deals for Early/Late Summer

Book by April 25 and travel through June 15, or, from Aug. 24 through Oct. 27. There is a 14 day advance purchase, and you’ll see more of what you need to know on the Virgin America website.

• Frontier Summer Sale – Ends Soon
