Best Day to Shop for Airfare is Tuesday

Lucky you – today is Tuesday, which is the best day to shop, and we have FIVE brand new airfare sales for travel in spring and summer. So what are we waiting for?

• AirTran Summer Airfare Sale – Book by April 21

A great airfare sale with flights starting at $43+ each-way (but you have to add the taxes and fees), with travel to many popular summer vacation destinations through Nov. 2. Caution: there are numerous blackout dates, plus sale prices are good for travel on Tuesday and Wednesday only. See the AirTran website for more details.

• Southwest Deals for Spring – Book by April 21

This favorite airline has fares starting as low as $29+ each-way for a few short hops, but there are plenty of other bargains, too. Travel through June 7 and fly any day except Friday and Saturday. See Southwest’s website for more, including blackout dates around Memorial Day.

• JetBlue Spring and Summer Sale – Book by April 21

You can fly through June 22 to U.S. and Caribbean destination starting at $49+ each-way, and most of your traveling must be done on a Tuesday or Wednesday (starting to see a pattern with all these airfare sales?) – see the JetBlue website for the latest.

• Virgin America May Airfare Sale – Book by April 20

The airline says, May is the New July, and they’ve put the entire month of May on sale – along with their popular destinations, including Orlando, Las Vegas and Los Cabos. Travel Tuesday or Wednesday for the cheapest fares which start at $59+ each-way; pay a little more for travel on other days. See Virgin America’s website for more.

• Frontier Summer Airfare Sale – Book by April 25

Lots of smaller and larger cities in this sale which is good for travel through Sept. 7. Sale fares start at just $39+ each-way, and as usual, the cheapest flights are on Tuesday and Wednesday. See Frontier’s website for all you need to know.
