Determined to leave the comforts of your living room for an in-person experience at the Super Bowl? Grab your game tickets – grab a coat, too (it’ll be chilly in Indianapolis) – and I’ll help you find the best-priced plane tickets possible.

Amazing Airport Preps for Indy’s Super Bowl

    1. How much will it cost to fly?

Last week, the cheapest flights from Boston and New York to Indianapolis were ranging from about $700 to $800. This week, look for non-stops from Boston to Indy for about $1,600 round-trip, and New York/Indianapolis for about $1,800.

Which Airline Missed Out on Super Bowl Fun?

    2. Are there cheaper alternative airports?

Yes. See the chart below. Dayton isn’t bad and Chicago is even better. If you don’t mind the drive from Chicago to Indianpolis (about 180 miles), the saving could be worth it.

    3. Are there cheaper days to fly than others?

Bingo. Head to the game the Tuesday and Wednesday before the game (Jan. 31, Feb. 1), and wait until the Tuesday after the game (Feb. 7) to head home, and you will pay less.
