I consider myself a veteran flier - I've traveled the world for business and pleasure, and I like flying. But there are some airlines I'd hesitate to fly. To be a bit more candid, some are downright scary.
These would be the worst airlines in the world - airlines that appear on the European Union's blacklist. The EU says they do not meet worldwide airline safety standards.
Most of these airlines are very small operations in remote regions of the globe. Chances are good that neither you nor I will ever set foot on one, but it never hurts to be well informed.
