How Airline Frequent Flyer Programs Work
There are airline frequent flyer programs that provide perks for the frequent and not-so-frequent flyer. And one of the most popular, Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Miles Program, announces Changes for AirTran Flyers.
Although the two loyalty programs remain separate for now, flyers who are enrolled in both can now transfer loyalty rewards between the two programs to redeem them for reward travel to 97 destinations, including Mexico and the Caribbean (served by AirTran).
