Director of SEO and Content Strategy

The Director of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Content Strategy will support the Marketing team by directing, managing and implementing organic and content growth opportunities for FareCompare. This position is part of the Marketing team, reporting to the VP of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy, implementation and reporting.
  • Partner with the Product and Develop team to drive SEO initiatives, owning the project from start to finish.
  • Develop key strategically program to drive FareCompare’s organic traffic growth, while experimenting with new ideas and opportunities.
  • Able to create the necessary technical architecture to support programs
  • Manage keywords and competitor research, and optimization for all search engines.
  • Set project goals to ensure timely delivery of changes and features and ensure proper implementation of the features
  • Develop and deliver performance reports.
  • Analyze consumer behavior and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Work closely with the analytics and data science specialists to identify opportunities across global markets.
  • Coordinates content creation with the content and communications managers.
  • Manage relationship with FareCompare’s SEO consultants, external development team and other agencies.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record for large content sites
  • Experience developing and implementing engaging content
  • Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript. Google Analytics, GWT, SEOmoz and other web analytics tools
  • Cross platform experience in developing content for website, mobile, apps, social and emerging channels
  • Ability to work with other groups across the organization
  • 8-10 years experience.

Email Strategy Product Manager

The Email Manager will support the Marketing team by managing and implementing e-mail strategies for FareCompare. This position is part of the Marketing team, reporting to the VP of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop e-mail marketing strategies and programs that support Marketing objectives.
  • Responsible for generating traffic through new email campaigns and account acquisition.
  • Work closely with the Product team to generate products that support the strategies.
  • Coordinate execution with the Email Production Manager.
  • Develop and deliver performance reports.
  • Analyze consumer behavior and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Work closely with the analytics and data science specialists to identify opportunities across global markets.
  • Manage relationship with FareCompare’s Email Service Provider, external development team and other agencies.

Requirements:

  • Experience with digital marketing automation software, like SalesForce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) or similar e-mail SaaS.
  • Experience in lead generation, email acquisition or loyalty marketing.
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications.
  • Marketing, Advertising, or Communications degree; and 5-10 years’ experience.

Ad Ops

Operations Specialist

The Ad Operations Specialist will be part of the Ad Operations Team and report to the Ad Operations Manager. This team manages the implementation, reporting, and optimization of all advertising on Farecompare.com. This position requires close interaction with Farecompare’s internal sales and account management teams as well as Farecompare’s external advertising partners.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and test new campaigns across Farecompare’s English and Spanish sites using both a 3rd Party Adserver (Open AdStream) and an In-House Ad Delivery System.
  • Provide campaign reporting and insightful performance summaries to Sales Team and Clients.
  • Build working deeplinks for new campaigns, by working with clients to obtain the necessary examples and documentation.
  • Provide accounting department with accurate monthly billing reports based on internal and client reporting.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Technology or other related field.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in an ad operations role at a website (preferably travel site) or trafficking/media buying role at an ad agency.
  • Thorough knowledge of multiple 3rd party ad serving technologies.
  • Comfortable and proficient working with large data sets.
  • Positive, professional demeanor and experience working in a client-oriented setting (internal and external).
  • Demonstrate success working in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Desire to take on increasing responsibility and grow professionally.
  • Proficient in MS Excel; and knowledgeable in HTML, SQL, HTTP protocol, and HTTP Header Analysis.

Senior Account Executive

 

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for managing and developing an existing client base, and for prospecting new advertisers. Reports to the Director of Sales

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing and growing existing client relationships, providing reports on current ad campaigns and recommending new opportunities.
  • Establishing and maintaining a robust pipeline.
  • Identifying key decision-makers.
  • Approaching prospects to determine their needs, marketing initiatives/objectives, budget cycles.
  • Developing effective sales proposals.
  • Conducting presentations to professionally move the sales process towards timely agreement.
  • Ensuring a high renewal rate by communicating with client services team and client to assure execution of contract deliverables and maximum program optimization.
  • Maintaining regular call reports, sales pipelines and revenue forecasts.

 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience selling interactive advertising, with in depth knowledge of CPM, CPC and CPA models.
  • Must be skilled at the identification and pursuit of new business through cold calls, creative lead generation, personal sales visits and sales presentations.
  • Proven track record of successfully exceeding sales objectives.
  • Exceptional customer facing/listening skills and strong personal sales ability
  • Ability to represent the company at various professional events and trade shows
  • Ability to constructively and persuasively present technology solutions and close business with business owners and decision-makers
  • Customer-focused with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task, problem-solve and manage client relationships in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including strong motivation, focus and passion for selling services of value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills
  • Experience preparing and presenting winning proposals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (PPT, Excel, etc)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and 24×7 Real Media’s OAS ad server a plus.
  • Spanish and/or multilingual is a plus

Sales Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing existing advertiser partnerships, supporting sales operations and liaison between the partnership management and advertising operations teams.

Responsible for: 

  • Post sale: gathers campaign assets from clients and submit to Advertising Trafficking department.
  • Post launch: provides client support to ensure satisfaction and manage day to day relationships.
  • Email Advertising Solutions: Liaisons between email advertisers and email trafficking team, gathering assets to support biweekly e-newsletter product.
  • Display Advertising Solutions: Liaisons between display advertisers and trafficking team, gathering assets post sale, working with client to confirm tracking, providing pacing and delivery reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing accounts, in an advertising operations and/or sales support role, in the interactive media industry.
  • Experience with CPM, CPC and CPA models.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office products including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experienced with DART, Atlas and/or 24×7 Real Media’s OAS ad servers.
